Bradley says: Miéville one of my favorite SF/F authors because his worldbuilding is so luch and lived-in -- the city of New Crobuzon is so well-rendered that all of this book's action feels like it has real material stakes, and is under genuine threat. Every sentence is alive, vibrant, & murky & a little nasty (in a great way). This is the first in a trilogy, and they're all totally thrilling & unique. Big must-read for the Marxist sci-fi fans!
